The American Bystander Print Subscription

The American Bystander is a quarterly print magazine devoted to literary humor, cartoons, essays, and cultural ephemera in the tradition of The New Yorker, Punch, and National Lampoon at its most literate.

The magazine is produced in limited runs and is not designed for mass distribution. A subscription is the primary way readers support the work and ensure its continuation.

Each issue is a physical object, designed to be read slowly and kept. Inside you’ll find original cartoons, new writing, archival rediscoveries, and work that resists the disposable pace of online humor.

This is a print-first publication. Four issues are published each year.
